Richard E. Gray

Richard E. Gray, 64, Okmulgee Resident passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was born on June 2, 1940 to Douglas and Marian (Crossett) Gray. Mr. Gray worked as a spray painter in the Mining Industry, in his spare time he like to work on paintings and do other art work.

His wife Betty R. (Knight) Gray survives of the home. Other survivors include a son Nathan Gray of the home a daughter Kim Kemper and one grandchild, two brothers Charles Hooker of Phoenix, AZ and Edwin Cox of Michigan; four sisters Jolene Clapp, Bonnie Warr both of Miami, OK, Doris Crandall and Elaine Maydock both of Michigan. Three brothers-in-law; Walter Knight of Tulsa, Bobby Knight and Charles Knight both of Oklahoma City, OK, four sisters-in-law Hannah Holotha, Norma Gerett, Bertie Bear all of Okemah and Mary Pendergraft of Oklahoma City

His parents Douglas and Marian Gray and one brother Theodore Hooker preceded him in death.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Brother Alfred Berryhill officiating. Interment will follow in the Knight Family Cemetery in Creek County, OK.

Casketbearers will be David Bear, Robert Bear, Randy Bear, Billy Joe Knight, Wiley Fred Knight, Ryan Knight

Visitation will be Monday from 8:30 AM until 8:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. The Family will be receiving friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The Family will also receive friends at their home after the family viewing for refreshments.
