Opal L. Green 87, Morris resident, died in Okmulgee on Sunday, July 16, 2006. She was born in Cord, Arkansas on August 27, 1918 to Payne and Lydia (Birmingham) Hensley. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard Green on October 22, 2002.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley and husband Truman Shepard of Leonard, Oklahoma, Lydia and husband Lewis Schooley of Corpus Christi, Texas and Karen and husband Allen Murray of Morris, Oklahoma, one son Rev. Boyce (Dee) and wife Barbara Couch of Haskell, Oklahoma, two sisters Doris Snider and Wynona Hijna of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one brother Payne Hensley of Victoria, Texas, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 2 pm at the McClendon-Winters Chapel in Okmulgee. Rev. Tom Murray and Rev. Boyce (Dee) Couch will officiate. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 12-8 pm.
