Ruby Ethel Lee Griffin
Ruby Ethel Lee Griffin, longtime Okmulgee resident, died Tuesday, March 29, 2006 at her home. She was 87 years of age. Mrs. Griffin was born November 10, 1918 in Okemah to John Curtis and Delphia Mae (Baggett) Wilbourn. She married Harmon Connie Griffin and they resided in Wetumka before moving to Okmulgee 35 years ago. Ruby enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Betty Maxwell, sons, Don and Harvey Dale Griffin, granddaughter, Trina Morris-Keller, great grandson Nakia Morris, sister, Bessie Murray, and brothers, Jack, Robert, Earl and Marvin Wilbourn. Survivors include her grandchildren, Robin Masters and husband Jim of Tulsa, and Quincy James Maxwell and Brent Ray Maxwell and wife J.J. all of Okmulgee, great grandchildren, James Roberts, Hailey Maxwell, Madrina Maxwell, Shandy Maxwell, Dillon Maxwell, and Trevor Maxwell, great great grandchildren, Dakota Lynn Roberts and Jordan Ryan Roberts, a brother, Roy Wilbourn of Okmulgee, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 31, 2006 at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
