Don Wayne Griffin 66, died on Monday, July 19, 2004 in Okmulgee after a long illness. Don was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on April 10, 1938 to Harmon C. and Ruby (Wilbourn) Griffin. He worked as an Oilfield worker and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Hi father and a brother Harvey Griffin preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby E. Griffin of the home, a sister Betty Jo Maxwell of Okmulgee, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 2 pm at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Paul Dodson officiating. V.F.W. Posts 1189 and 539 will give military rites. Visitation will be on Friday from 8:30 AM until 12:30PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
