Orville Dean Hammer

Orville Dean Hammer, age 75, died Monday, August 7, 2006, at his residence in Okmulgee. He was born September 12, 1930 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to the late Cecil Hammer and the late Hazel (Deruse) Hammer. He married Mary Helen Holden who preceded him in death on September 8, 2003. Mr. Hammer was an auto mechanic and a Veteran of the United Dates Air Force. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Harold Hammer.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lola Burton of Tulsa, Jenny Spurgean of Fontana, Calif. and Debbie Cotlon of Pionon Hills, Calif.,

two sons, James Cecil (J.C.) Hammer of Morris and Dean Hammer of Apple Valley, Okla., one sister, Corina Townsend of California, sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee, where the friends may visit from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Thursday, August 10, 2006. A graveside service will be at Beggs Cemetery at 10:00 AM Friday, August 11, 2006 , with Reverend Robert Yandell of Beggs First Assembly of God officiating. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1189 of Okmulgee and VFW Post 539 of Henryetta. Condolences may be sent at mcclendon-winters.com
