Daren Ray "Buster" Hamon

Daren Ray "Buster" Hamon passed away July 17th 2007 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. He was born to Edgar Ray "Bucky" Hamon and Joyce Janette (Aldridge) Hamon on January 4th 1965 in Okmulgee.

Buster graduated from Okmulgee High School and attended O.S.U. Okmulgee where he earned a Associate in Applied Science, degrees in Distinctive Manufacturing Technology and Diesel and Heavy Equipment. He had worked at Kelco for 9 years in Okmulgee. The most precious thing to Buster was he his daughter and to be involved with her activities. His hobbies included Nascar Racing, going to the lake with his children and friends. He attended Town and Country Christian Church in Okmulgee where he was a Deacon. Buster was also on the Emergency Response Team at Kelco. He will be tremendously missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter; Summer Michelle Hamon of the home a step-son; Clayton Johnson of Spartonburg, SC, his parents; Edgar Ray "Bucky" Hamon and Joyce Janette (Aldridge) Hamon of Okmulgee, sister and brother-in-law; Karen Ruth Davis and Rusty Davis of Bixby, a niece and her husband; Angela and Chad Been of Okmulgee, nephew John Russell Davis, Jr. of Okmulgee, aunt and uncle; Helen and Earnest Fuller of Okmulgee, uncle and aunt Don and Marilyn Aldridge of Memphis, TN, aunt and uncle; Skully and Betty Hamon of Longview, TX, aunt Wanda Hamon of Okmulgee, and a multitude of family and friends.

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents; Ora and Hazel Aldridge, and paternal grandparents; Edgar and Mae Hamon.

The Family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00pm- 8:00 pm at the funeral home chapel. Services will be held 10 am Friday at the Town and Country Christian Church with Reverend Tim Reeves officiating and Reverend Rick Fuller assisting. Casketbearers will be Jim Meek, Marcus Overstreet, Larry Spoon, Chad Been, John Davis, Jr., and Clayton Johnson. Honorary Casketbearers will be Rusty Davis, Sean McDowell, Tim Kisner, Darren Couch, Tommy Howell and Ron Graham. Interment will be at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town and Country Christian Church Youth Ministry.
