Eugene T. Harbison, 84, went home to be with his Lord on November 3, 2007. "Gene" was born December 11, 1922 in Tribbey, Oklahoma. Gene married Anna Mae Burwell on October 11, 1945 to which they just celebrated 62 years. On September 14, 1946 their daughter, Imogene was born. He worked for 28 years at Montgomery Wards; then Gibson’s for eight years before retiring. He loved working in his yard, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed dearly. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mattie Harbison, a sister, Mamie Thompson and a daughter, Imogene Garretson. Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae of the home, brother and wife, Carl and Norma Harbison and sister, Jackie Brown, all of Okmulgee, son-in-law, Bill Garretson of Moore, Oklahoma, granddaughters, Kristy Garretson of Moore and Gina Janzen and husband Kyle of Moore, two great grandchildren, Kylie and Kade Janzen of Moore, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. A committal service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at the City of Moore Cemetery, Moore, Oklahoma. The family would like to say thank you to Angelic Hospice and the Plantation House Staff for all of their loving care and support.
