Reverend Gareth Conley Holford

Reverend Gareth Conley Holford, 78, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born May 31, 1929 in Okmulgee to Charles E. and Helen (Gordon) Holford. He became an Ordained Episcopal Priest in 1971 and served in Riverside, New Jersey at St. Stephens Episcopal Church from 1972-1995. After returning to Oklahoma he served at St. Martin Episcopal Church in Pryor, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Sapulpa from 1998-2004 and currently served at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection, of Jenks, since its founding in March 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Gordon and James Gregory Holford. Survivors include a son, James Holford of McKinney, Texas and a grandson, Jordan A. Holford of Franklin, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection with Father Don Lawrence officiating assisted by Deacon Sam Gordin. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Anglican Church of the Resurrection.
