Vonnee Hopkins

Our loving mother and grandmother, Vonnee (Jackie) Hopkins, 78 years old of Okmulgee, Oklahoma passed away February 16, 2008 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jackie, known by family and friends, was born February 12, 1930 in Sparks, Oklahoma to Charles and Tessie McCurry. She married Lowell Hopkins on February 12, 1948. They moved their family to Okmulgee, where she worked at the Okmulgee Public School cafeteria until her retirement.

Jackie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Tessie McCurry, and her husband Lowell G. Hopkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving son Ray Hopkins, her loving daughters: Vickie Williamson of Glenpool, Beverly Glenn and husband Carl of Okmulgee, Linda McCamant and husband Randy of Las Vegas, Nevada, six loving grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her dear friends and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. Rev. Lawrence Matlock will officiate. Vonnie will be laid to rest at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com.
