Ethel Jaggars Hurst
Ethel Jaggars Hurst died Thursday morning, April 6, 2006 at her home in Okmulgee. She was 77 years of age. Ethel was born June 18, 1928 in Paden, Oklahoma to James Thomas and Lillie Bell (Griffith) Jaggars. She married Lester Hurst, Jr. and together they owned and operated a roofing and later a meat packing business before retiring to travel. She attended the Christian Assembly of God Church in Schulter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Nita Jameson and two brothers, Russell and Virgil Jaggars. Survivors include two daughters, Ruth D. Browning of the home and Ruby Herrera and husband Tony of Cottonwood, AZ, a son, Dale Hurst and wife Barbara of Apache Junction, AZ, two sisters, Ida Allen and Alice Morrow and husband Donald, all of Okmulgee, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend marvin McElhannon officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home Sunday 1-5 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
