A.G. Johnson

A.G. Johnson, 73, of Beggs passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2003 at his home. He was born on May 5, 1930 in Wortham, TX to George and Ava Johnson. Mr. Johnson married Eunice (Ruff) Johnson and have lived in the Beggs area since 1956. He worked as a carpenter, enjoyed gardening and working on antique cars. Mr. Johnson was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife Eunice Johnson of the home, six sons Earl Johnson of Preston, Ray Johnson of Beggs, Carl Johnson of Sapulpa, Arvin Johnson of Alexandria, VA, Fredrick Johnson of Coweta, nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, three sisters Ava Miller of Parker, AZ, Ella Hennix Pheonix, AZ and Nancy Johnson also of Pheonix. One aunt also survives; Gladys Johnson of Denton, TX.

His parents George and Ava Johnson two sisters Georgia Mae Poole and Mildred McGlory, three brothers George Johnson Jr., Joe Johnson, and Roy Edward Johnson preceded him in death.

Funeral services are 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at the First Assembly of God in Beggs with Elder Ralph Bagsby officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.

Visitation will be on Friday December 12, 2003 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm the family will be receiving friends from 7pm until 8 pm at the Funeral Homes Chapel.
