Albert (Junior) Jones went to be with his
Lord, Saturday, November 17th at 6:20 A.M. at his
daughter’s home in Beggs. He was born February 20, 1928 in
his home in Okmulgee, one block from where he resided with
the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Doris. Albert
spent his childhood in the family business Jones Auto Garage
sweeping the floor and hauling coal for the pot belly stove
where so many Okmulgeans sat around telling stories as there
cars were being repaired. Albert was an avid motorcycle
rider and enthusiast and became an antique car collector,
especially Studebakers. Albert married the love of his life
July 14, 1945. Doris was the daughter of Carl A. and Ida
Campbell whom he loved so dearly. Albert went into business
with his Dad at Jones Auto Garage and also worked nights
driving for Buchanan Funeral Home in his early-married life.
He then took a second job at McClendon’s Meadow View Dairy
where he was a milk transporter for years with them until
they sold to Carnation. When Albert’s Dad became ill, he
took over ownership of Jones Garage and changed the name to
Bear Wheel Alignment. He later retired from the auto repair
and bought the portable building company, Economy Storage
and Building Company, where he was building and selling
storage buildings up to the day he had his heart attack,
July 5, 2007. Albert attributed his carpentry skills to his
father-in-law who was also his mentor, Carl A. Campbell.
Albert was a member of New Beginnings Church and loved his
Pastors Raymond and Carolyn Doke. Albert is survived by his
loving wife of 62 years Doris E. Jones, one daughter; Linda
J. Mason Bond of Beggs, two sons; George M. Jones and Rex A.

of Austin, Texas. Albert was preceded in death by his father
