Bessie Hazel Kennedy

Bessie Hazel Kennedy, 89 resident of Okmulgee passed away on February 7, 2006. She was born on May 27, 1916 to Samuel E. and Delia (Dodson) Williams. Mrs. Kennedy has lived in Okmulgee since 1947. She worked at Oklahoma State University as a secretary in the Dry Cleaning department.

Survivors include her two sons Reverend L.V. Price of Bastrop, LA and Samuel James Price of Lufkin, TX, three grandchildren Linette of Jackson, MS, Angela of Opelausas, LA and Samuel Jr. of Lufkin, TX three great-grandchildren, Alayna of Jackson, MS, and Katlyn and Josh of Opelausas, LA, two sisters Lavern Crabtree and Louisa Toler both of California.

Chapel Services are on Friday, February 10, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Reverend CR Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Hinton Cemetery in Hinton, OK under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Viewing will be on Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 12 noon until 7:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may send condolences at www.mcclendon-winters.com
