Delores Kimmel

Delores Kimmel 84, a resident of Morris, died in Tulsa on Thursday. She was born in Okmulgee on May 21, 1924 to John Baxter and Lona Mae (Wilson) Payne. Delores worked in food service for the Okmulgee Eastside School before her retirement in 1984. Her parents, first husband, Avery Murray, two brothers Bob and Jerry Payne preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons; Allan and wife Karen Murray of Morris, Oklahoma, Rev. Tom and wife Teresa Murray of Torrance, California, one brother; Bill and wife Marquieta Payne of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, three sisters. Mary Ann and husband Cash Cashdollar of Preston, Oklahoma, Lrene and husband John Samaras of Muskogee, Oklahoma, JoAnn Brock of Dallas, two sister in laws; Carolyn Payne of Morris, Oklahoma and Alice Payne of Okmulgee, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 28, 2008 at 11 am at the Crosstown Pentecostal Holiness Church with her son, Rev.Tom Murray officiating. Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Public visitation will be on Sunday 1 until 8 pm, with the family present 4 until 6 pm.

Pallbearers will be Dickie Murray, Randy Murray, Paul Murray, Rick Payne, Terry Payne, and Larry Payne.
