William Dale King

William Dale King, longtime Tulsa resident, passed away Thursday morning, October 2, 2003 at Highland Park Nursing Home in Okmulgee at the age of 80. He was born August 18, 1923 to Alonzo Lafayette and Callie Lou (George) King in Canadian, Oklahoma. His true love was playing the fiddle. Mr. King was retired from carnation Milk Company in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Virginia Beck and one grandchild. Survivors include his children, Eddie King, Judy Lewis, and Michael King, all of Okmulgee, Larry King of Tulsa and Gary King of Claremore, his wife, Wanda (Virden) King of McAlester, a niece, Jeanette Stanfield of Disney, a nephew, Hayes Beck of Eucha, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 6, 2003 at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dal Newberry officiating. Graveside rites will be at 3:30 P.M. Monday at Memorial park Cemetery in Tulsa. Friends may visit the funeral home from 1-8 PM on Sunday. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
