George Edmond King

George Edmond King was born April 4th, 1953 to Imogene Clark King and Johnny E. King in Roswell, New Mexico. He married Jane Elizabeth Cook on December 18th, 1978. He passed away at his home in Morris, OK on August 13th, 2006.

George is survived by his wife, Jane of 27 years; sister, Barbara Belnap of McAlester, OK; sons, Jason King and family of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Eric King and family of Waldorff, Maryland; and daughters, Karen VanMeter and family, of Morris, OK, and Amanda Berry and family, of Morris, OK. George has eight grandchildren; Georgia King, Daisy VanMeter, Kyle King, Isabel King, Brandi VanMeter, Matthew King, Sean King, and Angela King.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and his brother Johnny King, Jr.

George leaves behind many close friends and a lot of family that will miss him immensely. He was an amazing man in many ways. He was well known for his sense of humor and his generosity.

His family invites anyone who knew him to attend his memorial service which will be held at the Morris Community Center on August 18th, 2006 at 4 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
