"Dignity without Compromise"
Albert Kirk, Beggs, died Saturday morning, January 10, 1004 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of 78. He was born October 11, 1925 in Tulsa to Albert and Fannie (Hamilton) Kirk. He married Mamie Philpott on February 5, 1944 in Tahlequah. Albert was a welder until his retirement in April of 1989. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Order of Oddfellows and Boilermakers Local #592 of Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tom and Fred Kirk.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Kirk, of the home, two sons, James A. Kirk of Jenks and Albert R. Kirk of Tahlequah, a daughter, Terry Cockrill of Beggs, a brother, Elbert Kirk of Beggs, a sister, Lois Johnson of Tulsa, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Beggs with Reverend Willie Antwine officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
