Marie R. Klink

Marie R. Klink, longtime Okmulgee resident, died Tuesday afternoon, January 10, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was 92 years of age. Mrs. Klink was born April 23, 1913 in Tahlequah to Augustus and Sarah Elizabeth (Guthrie) Rueckert. She married William Harry Klink in 1952. She retired from the Farmers Home Administration after 30 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years, Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, served on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army, and was formerly a member of the Garden Club, Chrysanthemum Club, and the Photography Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Johnnie Louise George and Helen Elizabeth Rech. Survivors include her brother, Robert L. Rueckert of San Diego, CA, four nieces, four nephews, four great nieces, two great nephews, numerous great great nieces and nephews and her sister by choice, Sylvia Lawrence of Okmulgee.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2006 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 P.M. at the Tahlequah City Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 10-8 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
