Ruby Lee Lee

Ruby Lee Lee, resident of Muskogee and formerly of Beggs, died Tuesday morning, October 2, 2007 at East Gate Village in Muskogee. She was 93 years and 9 months of age. She was born December 21, 1913 in Edna, Oklahoma to Pat H. and Nellie Bly (Holden) Watt. Ruby lived in Beggs for 73 years before moving to Muskogee 20 years ago. She enjoyed embroidering and crossword puzzles and spent many hours reading her bible. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years, Eugene Lee in 1986, four sisters, Lena Faye Watt, Nellie Mae Byard, Mabel McGlasson, a son-in-law, James Maxwell and daughter-in-law, Annabell Lee. Survivors include her son, Gayle Pat Lee and wife Patricia, daughter, Glenda Gene Maxwell, six grandchildren, Kelli Kirchner and husband Robin, Gwen Watts and husband Rev. Mike Watts, Janice Stepp, Veronica Daggs and husband Merritt, Laura Casey and Donavan Wilkerson and wife Julie, fourteen great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends and a special friend, Mrs. Bill Sheril.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Beggs with Reverend Bill Sheril officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs. Casketbearers will be Brandon Stepp, Chris Whittle, Donnie Zwirtz, Larry Byard, Dino Foote and Mike Hart.
