James Robert (Bob) Maxwell

James Robert (Bob) Maxwell, longtime Okmulgee resident died in Okmulgee on Saturday, April 21, 2007. He was born in Alva, Oklahoma on July 8, 1939 to James Albert and Ida Mae (Stathem) Maxwell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a Hunter safety instructor, enjoyed fishing, hunting playing dominoes, cards and his cat, Uno. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, D.A.V., N.R.A. and the Amvets in Enid, which he started. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving companion Tracy Putnam, three sons; Matt and wife Darla Maxwell of Okmulgee, John and wife Dianne Wilson of Ada, Tim and wife Tonda Wilson of Tulsa, two daughters; Rose and husband Mike Daughterer of Alva, Amadawn and husband Don Haley of Enid, one sister Rita and husband Dave of Phoenix, AZ, eleven grandchildren, best friends; Terry Swallow and Larry Marvin of Alva, several loving friends and special people.

Memorial service will be held at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Craig Gibson officiating. There will be no viewing. Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com.
