Florence Pearl McKay 77, longtime resident of Beggs died in Beggs on Wednesday, May 17, 2006. She was born in Weleetka, Oklahoma on February 5, 1929 to Lincoln T. and Betty (Cobstill) Nunn. She attended and graduated from Morris High School where she played basketball. She later married James Arley McKay on June10, 1960 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She worked as a cook in the school cafeteria. Her family remembers her as a fantastic cook and her family always came first in her life. She was a member of the Oak Grove Community Church in Edna, Oklahoma. Her parents, husband, son, Bill Parsons, three brothers John, Howard, Clarence Nunn, and a sister, Marvine Lee preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons Raymond and wife Barbara Parsons of Beggs, Wayne and wife Susan Parsons of Tulsa, and one daughter Debbie Parsons of Sand Springs, three step sons Jimmy McKay of Woodward, OK, Steve and Eddie McKay of Tulsa, one sister Sue Richards of Madill, OK, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Oak Grove Community Church at 10 a.m. Rev. Leon Barnhart will officiate. Interment will be in the Morris Cemetery on Monday at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.

Pallbearers will be John Parsons, Jeff Parsons, Charles Parsons, Mike Bonham, Tommy Ashlock, and Donnie Peoham.
