Brenda Joyce Messer

Brenda Joyce Messer, of Catoosa, passed away Monday evening, January 27, 2003 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She was 55 years of age. She was born June 10, 1947 in Okmulgee to Dallard and Juanita (Simmons) McCart. She was a homemaker and had lived in Tulsa since 1973. Brenda was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Debbie McCart. Survivors include her husband, Fred Messer of the home, a son, Mike Messer and wife Robyn of Catoosa, a daughter, Marsha Holland and husband Chris of Tulsa, her mother, Juanita McCart of Okmulgee, four sisters, Dahlita Tracy of Okmulgee, Kaye Everett of Beggs, Jane Wood of Tulsa and Sue Hicks of Broken Arrow, a brother, David McCart of Holdenville, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2003 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Lawrence Matlock of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Visitation will begin 9 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
