Pauline Miller

Pauline Lena Miller 87 a resident of Okmulgee died on Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Okmulgee.  She was born April 10, 1922 in Snowball, Arkansas to Wilton and Clara (Bandy) Dixon.  Willard Wallace Miller married her on February 22, 1941 in Okmulgee.  Mrs. Miller was a member of the Second Baptist Church and had served as a Sunday school teacher for several years.  Preceding her in death were her parents, one son Michael Wayne Miller, one daughter Joyce Lynn Hicks, three sisters Ruby Ledford, Clarea June Delaughder, Nadine Hill and one brother Doyle Dixon.

 

Survivors include her husband Willard, four sons Terry and wife Connie, Ronnie and wife Nelma, Donnie and Jeff all of Okmulgee.  Three brothers  J.C.  Dixon and wife Mary of Morris, Junior Dixon and wife Mona of Blackwell, James Dixon and wife Glenda of Liberty Morris, two sisters Edna and husband Harold Edwards of McAlester, and Kay McGahey of Broken Arrow, grandchildren Pam Hill, Steve Miller, Justin Miller and wife Heather, Jason Miller and wife Laney of Okmulgee and Tammy Regis, and eight great grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers will be Jim Ledford, Justin Miller, Ronnie Miller, Jeff Miller, Steve Miller, David Dixon, Don Ledford and Jim Eacet.

 

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 2 PM at the Second Baptist Church with Rev. David Nash officiating.  Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday 1-8pm; the family will be available at the funeral home 5-6 pm on Tuesday.  McClendon-Winters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com.
