Carrie Latane Miners

Carrie Latane Miners 80, died in Okmulgee on Wednesday, April 2, 2003. She was born in Alabama on June 9, 1922 to Charles Wesley and Anna Lee Stearns. She graduated from Okmulgee High School and had worked as a court reporter. She was married to Fredrick George Miners, who preceded her in death on February 19, 1979. Latane was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Okmulgee, the ECW and the Choir. Her parents, husband and a brother James Wesley Stearns preceded her in death.

Survivors include many friends.

Services will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer at 2 pm. Fr. Norman Alexandre will officiate. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:30 am until 12 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in her name.
