Harold Berdett Moss

Harold Berdett Moss, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday morning, February 4, 2003 at the Veteranís Center in Claremore. He was 77 years of age. Mr. Moss was born January 30, 1926 in Council Hill to William Henry "W.H." and Lue (White) Moss. He married Opal Lee Criner on August 6, 1948 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on August 31, 1999. Harold grew up in Council Hill, Checotah and then in Morris where he resided until 1952, when they moved to Tulsa. He was a member of the Laborers Local Union #1202 for 38 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed gardening as a hobby. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Lee Moss.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Moss of Hume, VA and Wayne Moss of Collinsville, a daughter, Kathy Moss of Tulsa, a sister, Helen Killgore of Broken Arrow, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 7, 2003 at the Morris Cemetery Chapel. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-8 on Thursday and 9-11:30 on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
