Kathy Turner-Pope-Murphy, 58, died Monday, April 25, 2005 at Concord Hospital due to complications during surgery on a Brain Tumor. She was born in Preston, OK to Floyd W. and Sylvia A. (Pannell) Turner. She was an insurance underwriter for Melcher and Prescott Agency in Laconia for Two years. She loved competitive country and western dancing, traveling, camping and fishing.
She is survived by her husband Eric Murphy of Hopkinton; a son, Bardy Pope of Okmulgee, OK, a daughter Shana Kohnen of Montreal, Canada two sisters Marilyn McElroy of Okmulgee and Janet Smith of Preston, OK, Three grandchildren and eight nephews.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 30, 2005, at the Preston Baptist Church in Preston, OK at 11 am. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 9 am until service time.
Pallbearers will be Ricky McElroy, Jimmy McElroy, Gary McElroy, Nicholas Howk, Christopher Howk, Steve Basquez, Joey Basquez and Jerritt Basquez.
