McCLENDON-WINTERS FUNERAL HOME "Dignity without Compromise"
Billye Parker Billye Parker, 84, longtime Okmulgee
resident, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at her home. She was
born June 15, 1923 at pierce, Oklahoma to William B. and
Harriett (Lerblance) Hogue. She married Jack Parker on
August 9, 1952. Billye was an active member of the First
United Methodist Church for many years where she taught
primary and elementary age Sunday School and was a member of
the United Methodist Women. She was a retired school
teacher, having taught for twenty years. Preceding her in
death were her parents, two sisters, Lillian Crumbo and
Hazel Tune, and an infant son, Stephen. Survivors include
her husband, Jack, of the home, two sons, Brent Parker and
wife Pam of Rogers, Arkansas and Bruce Parker and wife Susan
of Elm Springs, Arkansas, one grandson, Talley and a
granddaughter Ashley. She is also survived by a niece,
Minisa Halsey and nephews, Woody Crumbo, Tommy Tune and Greg
Tune. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M.
Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church
with Reverend Craig Denslow officiating. Interment will
follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Honorary Casketbearers will
be Jack Parker, Jim Moshier, Bill Bailey, Bill Cowell, Jim
Halsey, Ervin Jones, Olin Harris, Dr. J.P. Vanderpool, and
Woody Max Crumbo. Friends may visit the funeral home on
Friday from 12-8 P.M. and Saturday until noon. Arrangements
are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral
