Arthur Mirle Pinneo
Arthur Mirle Pinneo, longtime Okmulgee business owner, died Saturday afternoon, May 5, 2006 at Rebold Manor. He was 96 years of age. Mr. Pinneo was born September 27, 1909 in Oswayo, Pennsylvania to George and Dorothy (Everson) Pinneo. He graduated from Okmulgee High School and later married Opal C. Carey on May 29, 1931 in Okemah. Mr. Pinneo founded a family owned company, Pinneo Electric, in the 1930ís and was active until his retirement in 2004. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Okmulgee and the Menís Fellowship Bible Class. He loved to bake bread. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers and sisters and two sons, Jim and Jerry Pinneo. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Janice and James Moody of Fayetteville, Arkansas, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Friends may visit the funeral home from 1-8 P.M. on Monday. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Okmulgee with Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Honorary Casketbearers will be the Menís Fellowship Bible Class. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
