K. William Pless 70, a longtime resident of Beggs, died on Thursday, December 7, 2006 in Beggs. K W was born in Beggs, Oklahoma on December 30, 1935 to Thomas Kiker and Vera Lee (Wheller) Pless.

He graduated high school and attended college and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served his country for 19 years. K W worked for American Airlines, owned and operated an auto mechanic chop and The Pless Gas and Oil Company. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Assembly of God Church. Precede ding him in death were his parents and his wife Esther.

Survivors include his sons David Pless of Florida, Mark and wife Roxy Pless of Tyler, Texas, Rick Pless of Bassdrop, Texas, Steve and wife Heather Pless of Beggs, Oklahoma, Tommy and wife Sherrie Pless of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Virgil Enzy of Arkansas, one daughter Brenda and husband Eddie Brewer of Beggs, two sisters Ann Shepard and Treva Henson both of Beggs, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 10 am at the First Assembly of God Church in Beggs. Rev. Dan L. Payton will officiate. Burial will be in the Beggs Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-8 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.
