Donald Ray Rawlings 72, long time Okmulgee resident died in
Tulsa on December 17, 2008. He was
born in Okmulgee on July 13, 1936 to Charles and Grace (Cromwell) Rawlings.
His parents, one sister; Irene Roberts of Pico Rivera, CA, four brothers;
Paul Rawlings and wife Joan of Okmulgee, Charles Rawlings Jr. and wife Betty of
Okmulgee, Frank Rawlings of Ft. Smith, AR, and Earl Rawlings of Loyalton, CA.
preceded him in death.
Donald had retired from Ball Brothers Glass Plant in 1994
after 40 years working there. That
was the year that the plant closed in Okmulgee.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Donald loved his family and friends.
Survivors include one son; Johnny Dean Rawlings and wife
Kim of Muskogee, OK, two grandsons, Dustin Ray Rawlings of Muskogee, Jason Dean
Rawlings (Hurst) of Preston, OK, and one brother; Bobby Joe Rawlings and wife
Wilma of Prague, OK.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, 10 am, at the
Okmulgee Cemetery with Rev. C.R. Franklin officiating.
Visitation will be on Friday, 12-8 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral
