Lula Mae Farr-Roberts, an Okmulgee resident, died Friday morning, May 20, 2005 at her residence in Baptist Village. She was 97 years of age. Mrs. Roberts was born December 16, 1907 in Okmulgee. She lived all of her live in this area, including Mounds, Nuyaka and Okmulgee. She was a member of the Home Extension Club of Okmulgee, worked many years at Corbinís Shoe Store, and enjoyed cats, watching birds, fishing and painting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Farr, her parents and a brother. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Culbert of Mounds, seven grandchildren, Donna Stubblefield of Tulsa, Kenny, Becky, Gary, Jeff, Deidre and Tina Culbert, all of Mounds and four great grandchildren, Larry Stubblefield, Brandon, Brittany and Micheal Culbert.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 26, 2005 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Mike Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be 9-12 noon on Thursday at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
