Charles "Kenneth" Roe

Charles "Kenneth" Roe, 66, of Okmulgee passed away on Friday, September 19, 2003 at the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee. Kenneth was born October 3, 1936 in Beggs, OK to Dewey Hobson and Emma Elizabeth (Pruitt) Roe. On May 8, 1956 in Slick, OK he married Helen Sadler. Mr. Roe was in the Navy aboard the USS Lake Champlain. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and loved to fish, garden and keep his yard up and also keep up with the Atlanta Braves.

Mr. Roe was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Lucille Holden, Lois Fisher and three brothers Travis Roe, Calvin Roe and Billy Jack Roe.

Survivors include his wife Helen of the Home a daughter Judy LaRue and husband Johnny of Okmulgee, a son Mark Roe and wife Sheri of Beggs, a son Jeff Roe and his wife Kay of Chester, OK, a daughter Cindy Berry and her husband Billy of Beggs, a daughter Beth Pratt and husband Harry of Okmulgee, son Kelly Roe and his wife Kelly of Highlands Ranch, CO, nineteen grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, a brother CD Roe of Beggs, a sister Dorothy Fisher of Yale and Many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at the Beggs Cemetery in Beggs, OK with the Reverend David Hamilton officiating. Military Honors will be given by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1189 of Okmulgee and 539 of Henryetta.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 22, 2003 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs from 12 noon until 8:00 pm.

Services are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs, OK.
