"Dignity without compromise"


Nina Bell Rumley, longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away Monday morning, November 18, 2002 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was 79 years old. She was born August 23, 1923 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Charles and Elizabeth (Kitchen) Johnson. She married Add Eugene Rumley, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kenneth Roberts in 1985 and twelve siblings. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts.

Survivors include a son, Gary Roberts and wife Shirley of Morris, two daughters, Sandy King and husband J.C. of Oklahoma City and Carol Henshaw and husband David of Nuyaka, a sister, Artie Dickens of Okmulgee, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home from 10-8 PM on Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
