McCLENDON-WINTERS FUNERAL HOME "Dignity without Compromise"
Irene Marie Schachle Irene Marie Schachle, longtime Beggs
resident, died Friday morning, May 11, 2007 at her home. She
was 78 years of age. Mrs. Schachle was born November 20,
1928 in Foss, Oklahoma to John G. and Geneva Carrie
(Marriott) Hoffman. Irene married John Thomas Schachle on
January 14, 1947 at the St. Francis Church in Canute,
Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. Schachle moved to Beggs in 1952,
where they owned and operated the Schachle Funeral Home
until 1962. They also owned and operated a family restaurant
in Beggs for several years. She attended St. Clement
Catholic Church in Bixby. She was preceded in death by her parents,
her loving and devoted husband of 60 years who died February
27, 2007, and three brothers, Raymond Hoffman, Alfred
Hoffman and Alvin Hoffman. Survivors include her two
children, Carolyn Taylor and husband Ed of Beggs and David
Schachle and wife Linda of Jay, four grandchildren, Keith
Taylor and wife Christy of Amarillo, Texas, Amber Brafford
and husband Daniel of Tulsa, Michelle Camacho and husband
David of Beggs and Lance Schachle of Stillwater, eight great
grandchildren, Becca, Frankie and Klaire Taylor, Lewis,
Matthew and Dailee Camacho, Morgan Sims and Kaitlyn and
Davis Brafford and five siblings, Leroy Hoffman of Elk City,
Johnny Hoffman of Erick, Ilene Abercrombie of McComb, Evelyn
Ross of Beggs and Janice Dorrell of Dill City. The family will receive friends from
5:00-6:30 P.M. Monday evening, May 14, 2007 at the
McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs. A reception in Mrs.
Schachle’s honor will be held at 6:30 P.M. Monday evening at
the American Legion Hut. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M.
Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the United Methodist Church of
Beggs with Deacon Bob Garrett officiating. Interment will be
at 4:00 P.M. at the St. Francis Cemetery in Canute, Oklahoma
with Father Carl Janocha officiating. Pallbearers will be
Keith Taylor, Lance Schachle, David Camacho, John Matlock,
Ricky Mitchell and Alan "Pete" Ross. Honorary Pallbearers
will be Howard Phillips, Junior Mitchell and Ed Ross.
