Harold William Schauf
Harold William Schauf, 62, of Okmulgee passed away May 6, 2005. He was born August 16, 1942 in Clearwater, Kansas to Albert and Irene (Biggs) Schauf. Harold graduated from Clearwater High School. He married Verna Johnson in Okmulgee on June 27, 1969. Harold was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic church, and was a journeyman lineman and foreman by trade, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electoral Workers Local Union 1002. He was employed by the Bison Electric Company in Tulsa. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Verna of the home; three daughters, Margaret and Joe Prentice of Okmulgee, Shelli and Charlie Smith of Jenks, and Denise and Eddie Mehnert of Brighton, Colorado, two sisters, Joan and Jim Wise of Milan, Kansas and Mary Margaret Talbert of Haysville, Kansas, four brothers, Marvin and Mary Kay Schauf of Clearwater, Kansas, David and Connie Schauf of Wichita, Kansas, Ivan and Kathy Schauf of Colwich, Kansas and Carl Schauf of Haysville, Kansas, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Wake-Rosary Services will be on Monday at 7 pm at the McClendon-Winters Chapel, and the Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 10 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Fr. Bryan Brooks the officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral Home on Monday, 1 pm until 8 pm.
Pallbearers will be Art Porter, Paul Harrison, Mickey Howell, Hank Pate, Donald Schauf and Grady Talbert.
