"Dignity without Compromise"
Nora Siegenthaler, 89, Okmulgee resident and long time Morris resident passed away on Monday, May 02, 2005 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was born November 9, 1915 to Daniel and Elizabeth (Guthrie) Stephens near the town of Boynton, OK where she grew up. She graduated from Boynton High School in 1934. She worked on the farm with her parents and in September of 1943 she married Harry Siegenthaler. They lived in Louisiana for one year before Harry had to leave for overseas in World War II. Upon Harry’s return they lived on a farm east of Morris.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Siegenthaler who passed away January 1, 2004, by her parents Daniel and Elizabeth Stephens and a brother Howard R. Stephens.
Survivors include one niece Carole Hampton and her husband Ron of Colorado Springs, CO, a niece Linda Chambers and her husband Bill of Morris, a Cousin Jim Bergin and wife Joyce of Georgia and a cousin Arlene Harmon of Montana and a host of Friends.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Linda Pope officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee, OK under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Bob Wallace, Ed Dennis, Freddie Hager, Carl King, Harold Conrad, Dolan Curtis and Jeff Brown.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Morris from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm
The family has asked that Memorial contributions be made to the Morris United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of their choice.
