Harry Lee Siegenthaler

Harry Lee Siegenthaler, 91, of Okmulgee formerly of the Morris area passed away on January 1, 2004 at the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. He was born in February 17, 1912 one of five sons of Charles E. and Ada (Harris) Siegenthaler near the town of Eram, OK. He and his twin brother Harvey grew up around there and graduated from Eram High School in 1931. They continued farming and raising cattle with their father. Harry sang with three other brothers in a family quartet. They sang gospel songs over an Okmulgee radio station in the late 30ís and early 40ís. When World War II came He and his twin brother served four years together in the United States Army as cooks. In 1943 Harry married Nora Stephens. He was a member of the American Legion for 55 years. He worked as a butcher from 1959 until 1978. He and his wife Nora Joined the Methodist church in Morris in 1959.

Survivors include his wife Nora (Stephens) Siegenthaler of the Home a sister Ruth Sandusky of Ponca City and many Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Harvey, Ellis Otis and Forrest Siegenthaler.

Funeral Services for Harry are 10:00 am on Monday, January 5, 2004 at the Morris Methodist Church with Reverend Gary Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the Direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Morris, OK.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 4, 2003 at the McClendon-Winters funeral Home in Morris from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
