Rev. Klovia Leata (Smith) Simmons

Rev. Klovia Leata (Smith) Simmons 94, died on Monday, August 14, 2006 in Okmulgee. She was born in Nuyaka, Oklahoma on March 16, 1912 to Frederick Monroe and Mary Lavina (Poe) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Urban Elmer Simmons in 1964, her parents 10 sisters and brothers, 3children, 3 step children, which she considered her own.

Survivors include her daughter Phyllis Argle of Okmulgee, a son Fred Simmons and wife Pauline of Kansas City, Missouri, a son Dan Simmons of Okmulgee, 15 great grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephews and their families, plus other relatives and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 10 am at the McClendon-Winters Chapel, with Rev. Tom Lazton and Rev. Dan Simmons officiating. Internment will be in the Memorial Park emetery in Enid. Visitation will be 12-8 pm on Thursday.
