McCLENDON-WINTERS FUNERAL HOME "Dignity without Compromise"
Helen Louise Smith Helen Louise Smith, 88, of Meno,
Oklahoma, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Integris Bass
Baptist Health Center in Enid. She was born February 26,
1919 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Joseph and Mary Frances
(Robinson) Wellons. She married Oren Paul Smith in 1937 and
they were longtime Okmulgee residents. Helen was a cook for
many years, both in area restaurants and hospitals, and was
a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Grace and
Truth Church, and loved to dance and fish. She was preceded
in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Thelma Aleen,
two brothers, Joseph and Julius Wellons and two sons, Ronnie
Ray and Edward Dean Smith. Survivors include her daughter,
Pamela Jean Decker and husband Roger of Meno, a
daughter-in-law, Millie Smith of Okmulgee, a sister, Velma
Ehlert, brother, Robert Odell Wellons, six grandchildren,
Shawn Smith, Zane Smith, Eddie Smith, Jr., Amy Dallis, Mark
Decker and Danny Decker, and fourteen great grandchildren,
Kyle, Kelsey, Avery, Cameron, Haley, Alexandra, Ashley,
Trey, Cody, Ally, Ashlynn, Chelbi, Lindsey and Loren. A graveside service will be held 2:00
P.M. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with
Reverend Mike Hawkins officiating. Friends may visit the
funeral home on Monday from 12-8 P.M. and Tuesday until 1:00
P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the
