Lucille Mamie Snakeman
Lucille Mamie Snakeman 94 died Friday, July 15, 2005 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born May 11, 1911 in Okmulgee to Melvin and Eliza Thomason, pioneer Okmulgeeans. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 1 PM at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Lucille graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1929. She married Luther Snakeman on January 3, 1936. She and her husband lived in various towns in Oklahoma, Kansas and Illinois since he was working in the construction of pipelines and later construction of electrical high lines. In 1957 they returned to Okmulgee and established their home with their daughters Linda and Sandra.
Lucille was a life long reader and shared her love of reading with her daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther; her daughter, Linda; sisters, Threesa and Margaret; and brothers Paul, Billy and Winford; and granddaughter, Ticeen.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Younger and husband Bart of Tulsa, Ok; sister Wilda Winn of Woodland, Ca.; granddaughter Jan Moslener and husband Mike of Rockwall, TX.; grandson, Bart, Jr. of Tulsa, Ok and eight great grandchildren.
