Nyhl Spears, 76 years, 8 months and 22 days, a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, morning, December 13, 2006 in Henryetta. He was born March 21, 1930 in Mountainburg, Arkansas to Daniel Boone Spears, Sr. and Minnie Viola (Gentry) Spears. He enjoyed coon hunting and trading. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include three sisters, Ruth Iwashita of Council Hill, Viola Myers of Morris and Dallas Barker of Clinton, a brother, Danny Spears of Hichita and numerous nieces and nephews. A chapel service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2006 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at the Morris Cemetery Chapel.
