Josie Mae Stafford
Josie Mae Stafford was born on May 1,
1930 in Inola, Ok to Coy and Martha Fisher. She past from
this world on December 8, 2007 into the arms of our Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years Afton
Leo Stafford January 8, 2005; her parents Coy Fisher 1967
and Martha Fisher in 1986.
Mae Stafford worked hard all her life at
many occupations. She worked as a Nurses Aid, a Physical
Therapist Assistant, a Waitress, a House Painter and more.
She had a deep sense of family and worked hard to provide
and nurture her family. She had a very private relationship
with the Lord and she depended on prayer and the blessings
God. She came from a home of love and faith instilled in her
by her parents. Mae was a compassionate woman always willing
to help someone in need. She loved large gatherings at her
house during the holidays and was a wonderful cook. Mae was
a woman that always wanted to please and Mother the ones she
loved. She will be greatly missed by those that loved her.
Survivors include her son Charles Stone
and Joann of the home, a daughter Vicki Been and her husband
Stephen of Okmulgee, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren
and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday at
10 AM at the First Assembly of God Church in Morris. Pastor
Doy Shipman will officiate. Burial will be in the Morris
Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday 12- 8 pm at the
McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Condolences may
