Dan Riley Starkey

Dan Riley Starkey, 64, of Meeker, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in Prague. He was born November 14, 1942 in Miami, Arizona to John Riley and Doris Ruth (Little) Starkey. He lived in Arizona until he was in eighth grade and his family moved to California. He moved to Oklahoma in 1995. As a young child he enjoyed singing specials in the Assembly of God Church. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and was a movie stunt man. He enjoyed watching movies, singing and playing his guitar and team roping. Dan was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Doris Ruth Starkey of Meeker, a sister, Cheryl Ann Newbanks of Bridgeport, Washington, a son, David Starkey of Pleasanton, California, a daughter, Rachel Reilly of Santa Barbara, California, three grandchildren, and special friend and former wife, Beverly Lord of Meeker. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 30, 2007 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend John Wesley Berry officiating. Interment will follow in the Okfuskee Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jason, Jeff and Albert Starkey, Thomas Harper, Jerry Sudduth and Phil Reilly.
