Marie Cecile Helene Stratton

Marie Cecile Helene Stratton, 82, Okmulgee resident, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in Tulsa. She was born on February 26, 1920 in Leominster, Massachusetts to Stanislas Philippe and Flora Adele (Marion) Coiteux. She had worked as a Ward Clerk at the hospital. Cecile was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary, Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar Society. Her parents, husband Fred E. Stratton, son in law Gene Modlin, brothers Roger and Robert Coiteux, sisters Yvonne Sheridan, Jeanne Meador, Claire Coiteux, and four infant siblings preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son Fred and wife Minh-Huong Stratton Jr. of Sugarland, TX, five daughters Claire Bussell of Broken Arrow, Joanne Modlin of Okmulgee, Mary and husband Edward DeHass of Lewisville, TX, Theresa and husband Dennie Litterell of Corinth, TX, Christine and husband Scott Helling of Tulsa, two sisters Irene Santarelli of Lauder Hill, FL and Gloria Kenny of Baldwinville, Massachusetts, 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Prayer service will be on Friday at 7:30 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home, Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 1 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Eufaula, OK. Visitation will be on Friday at 10 Am until 8 pm. Memorial Contributions can be made to Marian Academy School.

Pallbearers will be Eddie DeHass, Dennie Litterell, Scott Helling, Ron Veytovich, Nevada Litterell, John Bussell., Fred Stratton, III, and Jim Bussell.
