McCLENDON-WINTERS FUNERAL HOME "Dignity without Compromise"
Agnes Lucile Thomas Agnes Lucile Thomas 101, died in Ada,
Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 6, 2007. She was born on
January 31, 1906 in New Matamoras, Ohio to Frank and Mae
(Cunningham) Muth. She attended Business College in El
Dorado, Kansas and worked for Muth Drilling in Wichita,
Kansas and Skelly Oil Company in El Dorado, Kansas in the
1930’s. Lucile married Earl Thomas in 1933. Lucile and Earl
moved to Okmulgee in August of 1940. They had one daughter,
Betty Ann Miller, who preceded her in death and also raised
two stepsons, Arnold and Ralph Thomas. Three brothers
Frances Urban Muth, Johnny Muth and Morris Muth, three
sisters Verdus Marie Muth, Geneva Walter and Francie Miller.
She was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church
the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. She
enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and quilting. Survivors include a son-in-law John
Miller of Okmulgee, two grand-daughters Ann Crawford of
Bixby and Lela Luper of Ada, grandsons Brett Crawford,
Brandon Crawford and Thomas Crawford of Bixby, one
great-grandson Jakob of Ada, three step-grandsons Kenneth
Thomas of Muskogee and Charles Thomas of Independence,
Kansas and William Thomas of Lenexa, Kansas, a
step-grand-daughter Margaret Parrales of Coffeyville, Kansas
two sisters Ruth Strumfa and Regina Walker both of El
dorado, Kansas, two brothers Phil Muth of Canyon city,
Colorado and Frances Muth of Los Angeles, California. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Friday, February 9, 2007 at 2 P.M. at Uganda Martyrs
Catholic Church. Fr. Benjamin Vima will be the celebrant.
Prayer service will be Thursday at 7 P.M. at the
McClendon-Winters Chapel. Burial will be in the Okmulgee
