Roger D. Thompson
Roger D. Thompson,"Rock" or "Spanky", 40,
of Bechtelsville, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday at
his residence from a heart attack.
Born in Okmulgee, OK, he was the son of
Lloyd M. "Mike" and Evelyn J. "Jane" (Stephenson) Thompson.
Surviving with his parents are his aunts
and uncles Charlotte and John Cornelius of TX, Wanda Deems,
Pat Casey, wife of the late Russell Casey, Ann and David
Reynolds, Bill and Deanna Stephenson, all of OK, and James
and Esther Stephenson of Minn. He will be sadly missed by
his fiancée Renee Wilkinson. He is also survived by numerous
cousins and friends.
He was a member of the former Calvary
Assembly of God, Boyertown, PA. Roger worked for DANA Corp.
in Pottstown, PA for close to 14 years, and helped out at
Phoenixville Fitness Center, Phoenixville, PA. He loved
riding his Harley and used to race 4 wheelers. He was a
member of the Birdsboro, PA VFW, where he was a dart league
member. But most of all Roger will be remembered as an all
around likable guy.
A funeral service will be held on
Tuesday, 7:30 PM at Morning Star Fellowship Church in
Bechtelsville, PA. Funeral Services will be in Okmulgee on
Friday, February 8th at 2:30 PM at the First
Assembly of God Church with Rev. William D. Moore
officiating. Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery
under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
