Silas L. Tisdale

Silas L. Tisdale 69, a resident of Okmulgee died in Okmulgee on Wednesday, January 22, 2003. He was born on July 25, 1933 in Mason City, IL to Lester and Audrey (Boyer) Tisdale. Cy married Ruth E. Muller on September 21, 1979 in Burlington, Wisconsin. They moved to Okmulgee in November of 1988 from Antioch, CA. He worked as a Hot End Shift Foreman for Ball Brothers Glass Co until his retirement in 1994. He loved woodworking, fishing and bowling. Cy was preceded in death by his parents, a son Silas Tisdale Jr. a sister Dorothy and a brother George P. Tisdale.

Survivors include his wife Ruth of the home, two daughters Janet and husband Mike Broggmer of Lincoln, Il. And Monica and husband Aaron Reed of Tulsa, one step daughter Tina and husband Dan Beasley of Okmulgee, two step sons Roger and wife Karla Moen and Brad and wife Jaime Moen of Okmulgee, a sister Naomi Zinkus, Las Vegas, Nevada, and a brother Fred and wife May Tisdale of Manito, Il, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Prayer service will be on Friday at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home at 6 pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 10 am at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Jerry Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-8 pm Friday. The family will be available at the funeral home from 4:30 pm-6 on Friday. Memorial contributions can be made to either the Marian Academy School or the Carter Hospice. Pallbearers will be Arthur Porter, Scott Wallick, Victor Muller, Michael Muller, Ronald Evans, Donnie Evans, Ricky Pearson and Ronald Reed.
