Marylyn Torix
Marylyn Elizabeth Torix 71, died in Okmulgee on December
10, 2008. She was born in Okmulgee
on February 26, 1937 to Paul and Laura Loraine (Swallow) Blankenbecker.
She attended Okmulgee schools and graduated in 1955 from Okmulgee High
School. Marylyn was an assistant to
Judge Billy Martin for 14 years when she retired.
After retirement, she and her companion, Bennie Stephenson traveled
extensively to New Mexico and Arizona.
Her parents Paul Blankenbecker and Laura Woodfield preceded her in death.
Survivors include her companion Bennie B. Stephenson of
Okmulgee, her daughter, Dana Daniels of Council Hill, Oklahoma, two sons, Harvey
(Sonny) J. Torix Jr and wife Carolyn of Okmulgee, Terry Edward Torix of
Checotah, Oklahoma, two sisters, Paula Slape, Margene Vincent, three brothers,
Robert and wife Betty Woodfield, David Woodfield,
Edward Woodfield, and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 2 pm at the
Okmulgee Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Woodfield officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday 1-5 pm.
The casket will remain closed.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Torix,
Kennith Bobby Daniels, Casey Torix, Gene Branson, Kevin Reed and Bob Horn.
Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
