Betty Vivar

      Betty Jean Vivar, a resident of Checotah, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Muskogee.  She was 83 years of age.  Betty was born September 3, 1925 in Okmulgee to the late Andrew and Goldie (Swaford) Musgrave.   She retired from Ball Brothers Glass. She was preceded in death by several siblings.  Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Neives Elmo Vivar of the home, a daughter, Terry Jean Maples of Burleson, Texas, a son, Randel Elmo Vivar of Yukon, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, Michael Maples, Connie Alexander and Jennifer Vivar, two great grandchildren, Michael Von Maples and Ryann Nicole Mercer and a brother, Andy Musgrave of Bartlesville.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Armando Gonzalez officiating.  Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.  Online condolences may be made at www.mcclendon-winters.com
