Esther White

          Ester “Aunt Dee” White, 65, died on June 8, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Aunt Dee was born on March 30, 1944 in Okmulgee to Lester Theodore and Alta Mae Imogene (Beck) White.  With a sign over the door that reads “shoes” she had a room that held her favorite collection of glass shoes.

          Aunt Dee was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Charles Wayne Carder, Jr.

          She is survived by her four sisters; Laverne Potter and husband Emanuel of Okmulgee, Belinda Foust and husband Danny of Preston, Betty Jo White of Henryetta, and Ester L. Costello and husband Kenny of Tulsa.  She also has many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and great nephews, and many great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.  Aunt Dee had numerous friends including John and Betty E. Macel, otherwise known as Ms. Macel, who were very special.

          A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Okmulgee Cemetery.  Steven Barnes will be officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.  Online condolences may be sent to www.mcclendon-winters.com
